Nicely explained all the concepts in course, Final Six Sigma Green Belt project is very challenging. Well designed course. Learned lot of new concepts in project work.

The Six Sigma methodology is a data-driven approach to improving business processes and reducing defects. The Improve and Control phases are the final two phases of the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework, which is the core of the Six Sigma process. The Improve phase focuses on implementing solutions to address the root causes of the problem identified in the Analyze phase. This may involve testing and evaluating different solutions, and then selecting the most effective one. The goal is to ensure that the improvements made are sustainable and can be replicated across the organization. The Control phase is focused on maintaining the improvements made during the Improve phase. This involves establishing control measures, such as statistical process control (SPC) charts, to monitor the process and ensure that it remains within the desired parameters. The team also develops a plan for ongoing monitoring and adjustment to ensure that the improvements are sustained over time. Overall, the Improve and Control phases are critical to the success of a Six Sigma project, as they ensure that the improvements made are effectively implemented and maintained. By following these phases, organizations can achieve sustainable improvements in their processes and ultimately deliver better products and services to their customers.

Good introduction to lean and six sigma, could maybe use with some more peer graded projects to help implement some of the more complex concepts but has increased my thinking with regards to lean and JIT

Well explained but as a note, you should dig more into some parts of the course like lean thinking, so you develop a even deeper understanding of those tools. Overal a really good course.

Overall, courses 1-3 were great! I think the final course should have more monitoring from those who are accomplished in Six Sigma.

There is a large gap between the lesson preparation and the project capstone. There should be more coverage on the project capstone itself and how to execute it. Also, there should be more detailed steps on performing the high level statistics examples and problems.

The peer graded assignment system needs to be improved. Students copy those assignments and resubmit or keep submitting poor quality submissions till they pass

Introductory overview -- this will not really prepare you well for an exam. For a product that revolves around quality improvement systems, this one ironically has noticeable spelling errors and a few things that were simply incorrect. Much of it is simply a re-hash of the book that is to accompany the videos, which in turn frequently are just reading parts of the book back to the viewer. There are whole sections that consist mostly of instructors verbally reading off complex mathematical formulas, which is not helpful.

Slides are not helpful, for example when explaining graphs and plots they don't even show examples. Also, the contents of the specialization cover just one portion of SSGB and the capstone project is not designed in a manner that helps the students to understand and apply concepts.

My criticism of this course and reason for providing only 1 star is based on the Capstone project required for completion of course. The requirement is understandably based on completion of an actual project performed for a real business but this would require a minimum of several months to complete. Many students will not have access to resources necessary to execute a project that would meaningfully demonstrate the skills learned in the Green belt courses. I suggest that Coursera creates a simulation that would require students prepare necessary documents based on a hypothetical process improvement, possibly starting from an investigation into a product deviation. Feedback could be provided at each stage of Design, Measure, Improve, and Control stages and once successful they could move on and be presented with additional materials necessary to carry the simulation forward. This would be much more useful for teaching practical application of skill and also for demonstrating ability to apply concepts.

You will have to wait months if not years to see if you pass the final project. There are still ungraded projects from 2020
