Loved this course so much! Opened my mind a lot of new things I had no idea about. I also enjoyed the further readings, they were more in-depth and were great reads overall.

I would like to be able to give this first module a 5-star rating, BUT the lessons contained quite a bit of spelling and grammatical errors. Not only that, but the last test before completing said first module had two questions that were not only confusing (got them wrong, apparently), but seemed to have directly contradicted the information that was presented in this first module. They were as follows: Which of the following is NOT a characteristic of effective technical documents? Clarity and precision Use of jargon and technical terms Consistency in formatting and style Minimal use of visuals and examples (this is what I selected, because I thought use of jargon and technical terms aren't universal, even within respective audiences. Incorrect: (answer) Visuals and examples can enhance understanding in technical documents. AND: Which of the following is NOT a characteristic of effective technical documents? Incomplete information Visual aids and illustrations to enhance understanding A clear table of contents and headings Complex language and jargon (this is what I chose, because what does "incomplete information" even mean?) Incorrect: (answer) Effective technical documents aim for clarity and simplicity.

Just finished week 1, so here's a partially done review! So far, this is a *very* beginner friendly course, which I appreciate. There's a lot of good information, and it's well organized. The course itself, I have very little issue with. Though, one note is that on Week 1, I was "taking" the graded quiz ("taking" because I'm not currently upgraded to the paid version, but it suggested I do that to actually submit the quiz once I answered the questions), and I noticed a few issues. First of all, one of the questions seemed to have a typo and/or leak in the answer. The right answer had a * at the end, with no footnote at the bottom. I was also disappointed that, given that it's supposedly paid content (for the grade), I had many repetitive questions in my quiz. I felt like my practice quiz was a better test, sometimes. Otherwise, my only other complaint is that the teacher for the course is at a great volume, but it's not mixed well because at the end of the course, it's suddenly blaring loud with the exiting sounds. Really rough quality of life issue, and I hope that in future videos that becomes less of an issue.

I can't rate it perfectly as there are questions even in the first module that are written incorrectly, which is a very sad irony for a technical writing course about accuracy. Specifically, there's a question about what is NOT a trait of good technical writing, and one of the answers is INCORRECT INFORMATION. Obviously that is not what you want in good technical writing, however it's counted wrong because it seems that it's supposed to read CORRECT INFORMATION. Probably good to know going forward.

Generally a great primer for technical writing. The test questions are quite easy but they are mainly a reinforcement of the many key concepts covered. This course is more of a starting point to introduce those who are interested in technical writing but unfamiliar with all it may entail. Numerous pointers are given for resources and ways to move forward in the technical writing space.

The course content was comprehensive and instructive. However, I found that some of the explanations from the instructor could have been clearer, which occasionally made it challenging to grasp certain concepts. A bit more focus on clarity and examples would enhance the learning experience for future participants.

Good course with broad insights into all aspects of technical writing, from best practices and writing for emerging technologies, to career development and networking. Includes plenty of real-world examples for context. Also provides links to helpful resources for more in-depth research.

I'm only in the first module. I wasn't sure what to expect from this course but I'm happy so far. The information learnt can be used in any field that requires the use of written correspondence. The techniques and tips are very helpful.

Many of the external reading links contain many pop-ups and advertising. I also found a few of the external reading links to not be very helpful, they seemed a bit teen-like information, and not on the level that I would recommend

The last quiz has incorrectly worded questions. It asks for items that are NOT characteristics. When the answer is chosen, it marks it as incorrect. The explanation shows that the correct answer was selected.

Rating should be encouraged at the end of the course. I have not finished this course so I don't know whether I would find the things I am looking for in this course or not. Till now, it deserves a 4 star.

It would be helpful to see actual examples of technical writing. Perhaps the sophisticated original document could be shown, along with snips of the steps it takes to convert it to a layman's version.

So far so good, however there were inconsistencies and errors on the final graded exam. Please double check for redundant questions and inaccurate answers.

Nice overall, it would be better if the lecturer could provide more detail information and project or case studies for SEO, API, etc.
