    About the Course

This is the seventh course in the Google Cybersecurity Certificate. In this course, learners will be introduced to the Python programming
language and learn how to apply it to a security setting to automate tasks. First, learners will focus on key foundational Python programming
concepts, including data types, variables, conditional statements and iterative statements. Next, they will learn to work effectively with Python
by developing functions, using libraries and modules, and making their code readable. Following this, they will explore working with string and
list data. A final component of learning to automate tasks through Python will be an exploration of how to import and parse f...

Outstanding content! Helped me immensely to refresh my knowledge of python and add to it. Plenty of hands-on labs and exercises. Great instructor. I thank Google and Coursera for this quality content.

It was good relative to what was promised. But I expected a much more complex idea.

2 stars for efforts but I don't think it was a good idea to show basics of Python like how to print strings and what is an if statement... to people who take automation of cybersecurity tasks using python... Big portion of this class is a basic programming class, Task 1: how to print and what do you see... Task 2: You can also add comments.. .What do you see when you run a comment... Task 3: Write the comment to say `# This cell displays "I am using Python."`. Be sure to replace the `# YOUR COMMENT HERE` with your own comment before running the following cell. I think they were too lazy to put relevant content... it was too boring. Is it really what google offer?

There was ALOT of information in this course which was great however the labs were absolutely BRUTAL. Its extraordinarily difficult to watch 15 minutes of video and then just go program something in python. It would be much better if during labs there were reinforced instructions as you went along. The hints were atrocious as many of them only redirected you to another place on the page. In short, I learned just enough to pass the tests, but left this section utterly confused on how to properly use python

It was difficult to understand the presenter at times. Also, the material is much, much harder than any of the other courses. It starts easy but builds much too quickly without giving a chance to solidify fundamentals. Newcomers will without a doubt be overwhelmed and unable to progress.

Need a different proctor. The one lecturing in the videos of this course is VERY hard to understand and the onscreen graphics are very lacking. I made it through, but will surely neeed to take another Python course to feel more confident.

This course needs to be revised. The order that is in is very confusing. It needs to start with the most basic concept of the code and into the middle of it. Explain the rules of the code and be specific for the reason behind each operator and when to use the operator. The assignments had errors as well. I was forced to use the exemplar to see if what I was doing was correct and at one point my code was the same as the example and the system was giving me an error for no reason. The the exemplar was having the same issue when you hit run on it. Please revise this course. It needs it badly.

They start by drip feeding you information in a way that is easy to understand. That's the first half of module 1. The second half is being force fed through 2 fire hoses at the same time. The course goes from a 2/10 difficulty for someone who has never used Python and very quickly jumps to 11/10 and immediately expects you to be able to apply what was thrown at you. They provide hints, however these hints are almost completely useless when you get stuck trying to figure out how to appropriately form the syntax for Python. you can learn a lot but you can very quickly get overwhelmed.

I hate this Python course. I was able to go through all the courses with little trouble, enjoying it for the most part. When I got to this course, it quickly became unbearable. It puts me in a bad mood every time I do a lab. I actively do not want to code. This is tedious, frustrating, complicated, and unenjoyable.

This course was difficult for me because I don't really understand Python and then it just keeps building on and on and so the further I got in the course the more lost I became.
