Artificial intelligence is no longer theoretical - it’s rapidly becoming part of our everyday lives. Consequently, this program gives you much more than an understanding of the mathematical and computational foundations of AI.
You’ll learn what’s needed at every stage of the full AI lifecycle, from model building to optimization and deployment at scale. You’ll develop expertise in scalable AI infrastructure, distributed training, model parallelism, and deployment on specialized hardware. To help you develop the mindset of a conscientious practitioner, you’ll explore the ethical implications of AI technology and ways to avoid the potential pitfalls of pushing the boundaries of AI applications.
With a focus on real-world applications, you’ll also immerse yourself in machine learning (ML) best practices, ensuring AI models are production-ready and optimized for performance. This comprehensive approach prepares you for the complex challenges and lifelong learning mindset needed for the rapidly changing field of AI. You can even combine your core curriculum with courses from other CU Boulder degrees such as electrical engineering, engineering management and data science. With this flexible master’s, you’ll set your own pace and path, from admission to graduation.
