I would rate it 4.5/5 if not for 2 problems. [Goto end] Python knowledge is necessary, which I learnt through Meta's course "Programming in Python" I, being a beginner, and starting to use framework, and to even register all the new terms in my brain, was hard, as it was "new" NOTE for beginners: It seems hard at the beginning but slow down, watch each video in detail, replay if not understood, use labs efficiently by following the instructions given, as well as understand the concepts while coding. Stop hurrying! If you do this, at the end of the course, you will also be impressed by this course. Problem 1: Sometimes, due to some server errors, or minor errors already existing the the lab documents, we do not get expected output even when our code is right. Solution 1: Compare with solution code, analyze the errors, check yourself for errors, and have good patience until you have success in getting them alright, that's important. Problem 2: There is a peer-reviewed assignment in the last module. Here you have to build django app by following instructions (quite easy if you follow it), and zip it and submit, and wait for other learner to review, so this process is time-consuming! Also, you should review other learners' as well! Solution: Practise the ungraded labs well so to be helpful in creating django app, yet if you follow the instructions well enough, you would get it done well, and the reviewer would not want to take much trouble searching for errors.

it's a great place to get started. the labs kind of hold your hand through all of it which can be good and bad. I recommend extra practice on top of this course.

Amazing course. Great content from meta. I really enjoyed taking this course. I want to put this into something great i will built.

Knowledge provided by course is really valuable, but projects and final projects needs to be harder ...

There needs to be a bit of an overhaul on this one. There are some very confusing places and also places where instructions are outdated or not even correct.

it does not have many of practical assignments, and the course only provides basic stuff about django. In general it is fine

So tedious. Too many instructors. Overly simple assignments. Excruciating quizzes-- more about rigorously regurgitating the lecture than overall knowledge. Quite a slog. It's the fifth course I've taken and the worst so far.

Quite average, the peer grading system is quite terrible and i believe it should be moved. Out of all the back-end meta courses that i've completed so far, this one is by far the worst.

Absolutely terrible. Really poorly communicated ideas that made everything unnecessarily complicated and vague. Quizzes were either uselessly simple, or asked about things that weren't really explained. Lots of errors in the automatic grading of quizzes. There were errors in the lab instructions, and errors in the supplemental code for labs. It really felt like this class was designed by an AI or an English major with no tech experience. I've taken many online classes and this was by far the worst!

Peer Review is a waste of time instead Teachers should review it
