Learner Reviews & Feedback for Mastering the Art of Cross-Functional Collaboration by University of Colorado System

About the Course

Every element of this course is focused on preparing you to understand yourself and how you lead. Your clarity comes from your heart, your intuition, and your mind. At the end of the day, the way you lead has to come from who you are. It will be up to you to figure this out for yourself. In this course, we will be joined by the United Airlines former Chairman and CEO, Oscar Munoz. Here, he will share personal lessons of becoming an influential business leader who has successfully worked through some of the toughest cross-functional collaboration scenarios. These range from delivering unprecedented profits at CSX, to turning around United Airlines, to leading the negotiations between the airline industry and Federal Government during COVID-19 pandemic, just to name a few. In each of these cases, he brought people together and led with an approach that we don’t often see in business by leading with his heart. This is who Oscar is. Join me in this course to discover how to become an inspiring and impactful leader by learning Oscar’s approach and the lessons he’s learned to become the leader he is today....

Insightful leadership course that offers useful advise for leaders at all levels in an organization and varying stages in their career on how to better themselves and their interactions with those around them; however, the material has very little to do with cross-functional collaboration. It appears that Oxana had a clear vision of what she wanted to deliver through this course, but Oscar took the discussion in a very different direction, aligning his commentary around the segments of his book instead.
